Adjacent to the flagstones, small liriope, dracaena, impatiens, and a rose bush have been planted.
In the middle of the summer, the rose and impatiens are full of blooms.
Bees circle around.
After completing the rose in a pitcher, Homage a Redon, it was a natural progression to paint the rose bush.
(Heidi takes cuttings from this rose bush to fill the pitcher.)
This painting comes much closer to my main desire:
showing the abstract within our realities.
Both prints have been sold.
